Planning permission granted - Ansty, Salisbury

Whiterok are delighted to confirm planning permission has been granted for the substantial extension and alteration to a cottage in Ansty, nr Salisbury. The site lies in the local Conservation area and in the Cranbourne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The works will involve changes to the front of the property to include modifying the existing dormer, new porch, rebuilding the facade in local stone, new windows and doors and an oak-framed glazed extension to the side. There is a transition from the traditional design of the front and side extension, to the more contemporary rear extensions that is to be partially hidden from view with a sunken terrace. The rear extensions are formed in two bays of semi-basement construction with oak-frame glazing and vertical cedar cladding, at the upper level. The two bays are joined by a double-height glazed link that is to accommodate a floating staircase.

Knowing the owner/builder well, we have high hopes that this will be an exceptional build and our most impressive project to date....not to mention most technically complex (but that is where we shine!). More to follow soon.
