Old Basing (Grade II Listed)
Church Lane House is a Grade II listed property that lies in the Old Basing Conservation Area.
Constructed in the 17th Century from the bricks of Old Basing House, the property is steeped in history and considered a building of high architectural importance.
Whiterok secured planning and listed building consent for a two-storey extension to form a large kitchen at ground level with a new bedroom and ensuite at first floor. The extension replaced a dilapidated single storey building and garage. The design intent was for the frontage to be quite modest with a more modern rear elevation using large windows and rooflights.
Consent was also obtained for erection of a three-bay detached garage, replacement of internal doors, major structural works and cladding the end gable in slate.
